How to Remove Grass Stains
Grass stains are a combination of chlorophyll, protein, and other organic matter that bonds strongly to fabric fibres. Treat them before they dry for the best results.
Pre-treat with white vinegar
Soak the stain in white vinegar for 10 minutes — the acid breaks down the chlorophyll pigment.
Wash with cold water
Always wash grass stains in cold water. Heat sets the chlorophyll pigment permanently.
What NOT to do
Never use hot water on grass stains before treating them. Never put in the dryer until the stain is completely gone.
